How to Apply: Send your CV and relevant certificates to careers@mamlofoods.com.

Master the Art of In-Store Persuasion

In FMCG sales, your ability to turn a passerby into a loyal customer is what sets you apart. Hiring managers will look for evidence that you can engage, educate, and close—not just hand out samples.

    1. Showcase your people skills: On your CV, highlight specific instances where you influenced a purchase decision or built lasting customer relationships. Use numbers, like 'increased sales by 20% at a pop-up event' to prove impact.

    2. Know your product inside out: Before the interview, research MAMLO FOODS products and the broader food market. Be ready to discuss how you'd position their products against competitors.

    3. Demonstrate adaptability: This role spans multiple channels—retail, markets, digital. Give examples of how you've adapted your pitch to different audiences or settings.

    4. Prove your data comfort: Since you'll use POS systems and spreadsheets, be prepared to talk about your experience with these tools. Bring a simple example of how you tracked sales or inventory.

    5. Highlight community experience: If you've worked with women's groups or community networks, emphasize that. It shows you can build trust and drive grassroots engagement.

    6. Prepare for role-play: Many sales interviews include a mock selling scenario. Practice a 2-minute pitch where you explain a product's benefits and handle objections.

    7. Ask smart questions: In the interview, ask about the company's current market challenges, their expansion plans, or how they measure success for this role. It shows strategic thinking.

    8. Follow up with a thank-you: Send a concise, professional email after the interview, reiterating your enthusiasm and a key point from your conversation. It keeps you top of mind.
