    Show Your Sales Leadership Playbook

This role is about leading a sales team to hit targets consistently. Hiring managers will want to see how you've built high-performing teams and driven accountability in past roles.

    1. Quantify your wins: On your CV, use numbers to show your impact. For example, 'Increased team sales by 30% in one year' or 'Managed a team of 15 sales reps achieving 110% of quota'. Numbers make your achievements concrete.

    2. Prepare a leadership story: Be ready to share a specific example of a time you turned around a struggling team or motivated a team to exceed targets. Use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to structure your story.

    3. Know your sales metrics: Be fluent in key sales metrics like conversion rates, pipeline value, and average deal size. You'll likely be asked how you track and improve these.

    4. Show your coaching style: Describe how you develop your team members. Do you do weekly one-on-ones? How do you give feedback? Give a concrete example of a team member you helped improve.

    5. Understand the industry: If you have banking or insurance experience, highlight it. If not, research the industry's sales challenges and be ready to discuss how your skills transfer.

    6. Emphasize discipline: This role mentions daily huddles and pipeline reviews. Talk about how you establish routines and hold people accountable to processes.

    7. Prepare for behavioral questions: Expect questions like 'Tell me about a time you dealt with an underperforming employee' or 'How do you handle pressure to meet targets?'. Practice your answers out loud.

    8. Ask smart questions: At the end of the interview, ask about the team's current challenges, the sales cycle, or how success is measured. This shows you're already thinking like a manager.
