    • Champion innovation, digitalization, data, and AI to improve productivity, customer engagement, decision-making, and commercial performance.
    • Collaborate with other business units and regional teams to identify cross-selling and portfolio-wide growth opportunities while developing talent and succession within the team.

    • Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in travel, tourism, hospitality, sports travel, corporate experiences, events, or a related commercial environment.

    • Strong experience in product development, pricing, sales, customer experience, travel operations, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
    • Experience with TourPlan and Microsoft Office Suite will be an added advantage.
    • Strong strategic, commercial, and entrepreneurial thinking.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
    • Strong financial and analytical capability, with the ability to translate market intelligence into commercially viable opportunities.
    • Proven leadership, team development, performance management, and succession-planning skills.
    • Strong understanding of travel products, customer needs, market trends, and commercial opportunities.

Show Strategic Impact in Travel Leadership

This role demands a leader who can blend commercial drive with operational oversight in the travel sector. Hiring managers will probe how you've grown revenue, built partnerships, and led teams in dynamic markets.

    1. Quantify your wins: On your CV, use numbers to show revenue growth, market expansion, or cost savings from previous roles. For example, 'Increased sales by 30% in two years' or 'Expanded into three new markets.'

    2. Demonstrate product development: Highlight specific travel products or experiences you've launched, from concept to commercialization. Mention any pricing strategies you've implemented.

    3. Show leadership depth: Describe how you've built and mentored teams, including succession planning. Give examples of performance management and coaching.

    4. Emphasize partnership building: Detail your experience with airlines, hotels, tourism boards, or sports federations. Show how you've nurtured long-term relationships.

    5. Highlight operational efficiency: Provide examples of streamlining operations, improving customer experience, or implementing systems like TourPlan or CRM.

    6. Prepare for financial questions: Be ready to discuss budgeting, forecasting, yield management, and KPIs. Bring examples of how you've used data to drive decisions.

    7. Show digital savviness: Talk about how you've used technology, data, or AI to improve productivity or customer engagement. Mention any digital sales tools you've mastered.

    8. Align with company values: Emphasize your passion for travel, sports, and corporate experiences. Show that you understand the African market and can build on the company's 'boots on the ground' presence.
