Show Your Command of Hexane Safety and Process Control

This role sits at the heart of edible oil production, where hexane safety and process efficiency are non-negotiable. Hiring managers will probe your hands-on experience with solvent extraction and your ability to lead shifts under pressure.

    1. Lead with your solvent extraction track record: On your CV, highlight specific years in hexane-based extraction, naming the equipment you've run (extractors, evaporators, condensers) and the tonnage you handled. Quantify improvements in oil recovery or solvent efficiency you achieved.

    2. Prove your supervisory experience: Describe how you've led operators, allocated manpower, and managed shift handovers. Give an example of a time you resolved a process upset and minimized downtime.

    3. Emphasize safety compliance: Detail your experience with Permit-to-Work, LOTO, and hazardous-area protocols. Mention any safety audits you've passed or safety training you've delivered.

    4. Show your technical depth: Be ready to discuss process parameters like temperature, pressure, and flow, and how you troubleshoot deviations. Mention your familiarity with PLC/DCS systems and instrumentation.

    5. Prepare for shift work questions: Confirm your willingness to work shifts and give examples of how you've maintained alertness and discipline during night shifts.

    6. Align with quality standards: Understand how QA/QC interacts with production. Talk about how you've coordinated with quality teams to ensure oil and meal meet specs.

    7. Highlight continuous improvement: Share a specific project where you improved plant efficiency or reduced losses. Show you can drive initiatives, not just follow orders.

    8. Research the company: Since CDL Human Resource is a consultancy, learn about their clients in edible oil manufacturing. Tailor your application to show you can add value from day one.
