    Stock Accuracy Is Your Interview

This role lives and dies by your ability to keep records straight under pressure. Hiring managers will probe how you handle discrepancies, expiry monitoring, and daily counts — not just your diploma.

    1. Prove your system fluency: Be ready to name the inventory software you have used (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or even Excel). Walk them through how you recorded a tricky stock adjustment or a delivery mismatch.

    2. Show you know documentation: LPOs, delivery notes, and bin cards are the backbone of this job. Bring a sample or describe a time you caught a quantity error using these documents.

    3. Talk about stock counts: Daily, weekly, and monthly counts are non-negotiable. Explain how you minimized disruption while counting and how you reconciled variances.

    4. Highlight your reporting skills: You will prepare reports for Finance and Procurement. Mention any experience generating stock movement or consumption reports, even if simple.

    5. Understand the waste angle: TakaTaka Solutions is in waste management. Show you care about reducing wastage and can monitor expiry and damages proactively.

    6. Prepare for scenario questions: They may ask: 'A department requests materials without authorization — what do you do?' Answer with policy adherence and escalation.

    7. Emphasize organization: A tidy store is a safe store. Give examples of how you arranged inventory for easy retrieval and kept the area clean.

    8. Ask smart questions: Ask about the inventory system they use, how stock counts are scheduled, and how the store team interacts with procurement. It shows you are already thinking like a store clerk.
