    Master the Mombasa CFS Ecosystem

This role sits at the heart of port logistics, where speed and compliance collide. Hiring managers will probe your hands-on experience with KPA, KRA, and shipping lines, not just your CV titles.

    1. Quantify your terminal wins: On your CV, show numbers that matter: container moves per day, turnaround times, or cost savings. For example, "reduced average dwell time from 4 to 2.5 days" speaks louder than "improved efficiency."

    2. Map your stakeholder network: Be ready to name specific contacts at KPA, KRA, or shipping lines you've worked with. Mention how you navigated regulatory hurdles or expedited clearances.

    3. Show HSE leadership: Expect questions on safety incidents and environmental compliance. Prepare a story where you improved HSE metrics or led a safety initiative.

    4. Demonstrate strategic thinking: This role needs big-picture planning. Prepare an example of how you optimized yard layout or equipment allocation to cut bottlenecks.

    5. Brush up on equipment knowledge: Be ready to discuss reach stackers, forklifts, and maintenance schedules. Show you understand how equipment downtime affects operations.

    6. Prepare for scenario questions: Interviewers may ask how you'd handle a sudden port congestion or equipment failure. Walk through your decision-making process step by step.

    7. Highlight your reporting discipline: This role demands timely reports. Have examples of reports you've generated and how they informed management decisions.

    8. Align with company culture: Research Interactive Resource Management and the CFS industry. Show you're agile, collaborative, and ready to work with government agencies.

CareerSasa Safety Alert: Never pay employers or agencies for interviews, training, or job placement. Does a job request payment? Report it immediately using the "Flag" button. While CareerSasa vets job postings thoroughly, always verify opportunities independently.
