    Job Description

    This role is responsible for managing production schedules, supervising daily assembly operations, and ensuring quality standards are met. The manager will lead teams, drive process improvements, and manage budgets to optimize efficiency. This position requires extensive experience in metal fabrication and manufacturing.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and manage production schedules, lead daily planning meetings, and coordinate with procurement, logistics, powder coating, and spray painting teams to ensure on-time delivery and efficient workflow.
    • Supervise daily assembly operations, monitor production performance output, cycle time, downtime, and implement corrective actions to achieve production targets.
    • Ensure all vehicles meet RMD quality standards by working closely with quality teams to resolve defects and implement preventive quality improvements.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors, technicians, and assembly staff through training, performance management, and targeted skills development to address competency gaps.
    • Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
    • Drive process improvements to increase productivity, reduce waste, and lower costs while staying current with manufacturing best practices and developing knowledge of CAD/CAM, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
    • Manage production budgets, optimise resource utilisation, oversee inventory levels, and ensure equipment is maintained to support efficient operations.
    • Maximise the effective use of production equipment by understanding machine capabilities, monitoring performance, and supporting preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Mechanical /Manufacturing /Production.
    • Over 10 years Managerial hands-on work experience with good knowledge of metal fabrication steel & Aluminium, vehicle parts fitment, welding, CKD assembly, CNC- laser and press brake bender, spray painting/powder coating and shot blasting.
    • Ability to interpret drawings and jobs briefs.
    • Good eye for details.
    • Computer literacy in use of an ERP system with a Production module.
    • Understanding of Kaizen work practices and its implementation.
    • Good people management skills with ability to motivate individuals and teams.
    • Good communicator, able to give feedback and enable upward/downward communication.
    • Proficiency in speaking and writing in English.
