    Show Your Investment Analysis Edge

This role sits at the heart of investment decisions, so your application must prove you can turn data into actionable insights. Hiring managers will look for evidence of rigorous analysis and a grasp of AI tools in asset management.

    1. Quantify your research impact: On your CV, use numbers to show how your analysis influenced investment decisions or improved portfolio performance. For example, mention a specific deal where your research led to a profitable entry or exit.

    2. Highlight AI proficiency: Since the posting specifically asks for AI tools, detail any experience with machine learning models, data analytics platforms, or automation in investment processes. Even if it's a course, show you're current.

    3. Prepare a case study: Be ready to walk through a past investment analysis step-by-step: how you sourced data, built models, and presented recommendations. Practice explaining your logic clearly.

    4. Know the Kenyan market: Standard Bank operates across Africa, so show awareness of regional economic trends, regulatory changes, and market opportunities. Mention a recent development in East African markets.

    5. Emphasize CFA progress: If you're a CFA charterholder or candidate, highlight it prominently. If not, show commitment to professional development in investment management.

    6. Demonstrate stakeholder communication: The role involves supporting business development, so give examples of how you've presented complex analysis to non-financial stakeholders or clients.

    7. Show attention to detail: In your application, ensure every figure is accurate and every claim is backed. A single error in your CV could signal sloppy analysis.

    8. Ask smart questions: In the interview, ask about the team's current investment focus, how AI is being integrated, and what success looks like in the first year. This shows genuine interest and strategic thinking.
