Show You Can Run a High-Volume Repair Floor Without Losing Quality

This role sits at the intersection of technical repair, team leadership, and partner management. Hiring managers will be looking for evidence that you can keep throughput high while maintaining strict quality standards and managing external relationships like Samsung.

    1. Quantify your refurbishment and repair experience: On your CV, use numbers to show the scale you've handled—units repaired per month, team size, backlog reduction percentages, or turnaround times. For example, "Managed a team of 15 technicians repairing 2,000 devices monthly with a 98% quality pass rate." This gives the hiring team concrete proof you can handle the volume and quality demands of this role.

    2. Prepare to demonstrate hands-on repair skills: Even though this is a managerial role, you'll be expected to jump in on complex cases. Be ready to talk about specific phone models you've repaired, tools you're proficient with, and how you troubleshoot difficult faults. If possible, bring examples of repair documentation or before-and-after cases to the interview.

    3. Highlight your CRM and data analysis wins: The role requires you to be the custodian of the CRM system and use data to drive decisions. Share examples of how you've used data to spot trends, reduce returns, or improve processes. Mention specific CRM platforms you've used and any reports you've built that influenced operational changes.

    4. Show how you've built and coached high-performing teams: This role involves mentoring Team Leads and technicians. Describe your approach to training, how you've developed staff, and how you handle underperformance. Use examples like "Introduced a weekly skills workshop that cut repair errors by 30%" to show tangible impact.

    5. Prepare for questions on managing partner relationships: You'll be the point of contact for brands like Samsung. Think about how you've managed external stakeholders before—how you set service levels, handled disputes, and maintained communication. Have a story ready that shows you can balance partner expectations with internal capacity.

    6. Understand the importance of safety and compliance: The role requires adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards. Be ready to discuss how you've ensured compliance in past roles, whether through audits, training, or process design. This shows you take operational governance seriously.

    7. Be ready to talk about continuous improvement: The job emphasizes building a culture where continuous improvement is the default. Give examples of process improvements you've led, such as implementing new quality checkpoints or reducing waste. Show that you don't just fix problems—you prevent them.

    8. Prepare thoughtful questions for the interviewers: Ask about the current refurbishment workflow, the biggest challenges in reducing customer returns, or how the team collaborates with the Process Engineer. This shows you're already thinking about how to add value from day one and that you understand the role's complexities.
