    Job Description

    This role requires excellent communication skills, as you'll collaborate with various people, such as construction workers, architects and engineers. In order to succeed, it's important to know how to implement quality, health, and safety standards onsite.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise the following construction activities; Internal road, Sewer line, Stormwater Reticulation, Electrical, Small service buildings, Landscaping, Any other tasks assigned by management.
    • Responsible for your team's safety and others affected by your work's scope on a day-to-day basis.
    • Provide full-time hands-on on-site supervision.
    • Effectively allocate labour, equipment, materials and artisans to maximise productivity and safety and to minimise deficiencies.
    • Effectively understand project schedules to ensure deadlines are met on time.
    • Communicate scope of work requirements to artisans, review production and quality and ensure implementation.
    • Calculate, monitor and track all materials required for each project, ensuring no overruns.
    • Correspond with the project manager team regarding all adjustments as required ensuring any materials are ordered in advance to meet deadlines.
    • Conduct daily toolbox talks for your team.
    • Resolve day-to-day field personnel issues.
    • Other Assignments as required.

    Required Qualifications

    • Should possess at least a diploma in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
    • Represent the organisation in an honest, ethical and professional way and encourage others to do so.
    • Set an example for others to follow and identify and explain ethical issues.
    • Demonstrate professionalism to support a culture of integrity within the team/unit.
    • Act to prevent and report misconduct, illegal and inappropriate behaviour.
    • Support a culture of quality service in the Organisation.
    • Identify and respond quickly to operational needs.
    • Consider requirements and develop solutions to meet ends.
    • Complete work tasks to agreed budgets, timeframes and standards.
