Master the Art of Prospecting in Insurance Sales

This internship is your launchpad into insurance sales. Hiring managers will look for your ability to learn products quickly and your hunger to hit targets. Show them you understand the hustle of prospecting and the discipline of client service.

    1. Show you know the product: Before applying, research Jubilee Life's key products like term life, endowment, and health covers. In your cover letter, mention one product and how you'd explain its value to a potential client.

    2. Highlight your people skills: Insurance sales is about trust. Give examples of times you've built rapport with people, whether in school, work, or community activities. Show you can listen and communicate clearly.

    3. Prove your self-drive: Since the role requires prospecting, demonstrate your initiative. Talk about a time you went out of your way to achieve a goal without being told.

    4. Emphasize your digital savvy: With IT and digital skills listed, mention any tools you're comfortable with—CRM software, social media for lead generation, or even Excel for tracking sales.

    5. Understand the numbers: The role mentions NOPs, ANP, and GWP targets. Familiarize yourself with these metrics and show you're comfortable with sales targets and tracking performance.

    6. Prepare for the interview: Expect questions on how you'd handle rejection and stay motivated. Practice a confident, positive response that shows resilience.

    7. Dress and act professionally: Insurance is a formal industry. Your appearance and demeanor matter. Show you can uphold the company's brand image.

    8. Ask smart questions: In the interview, ask about the training program, mentorship, and what successful interns have done. This shows you're serious about the role and your growth.
