Prove You Can Sell and Serve in Insurance

Insurance sales is about trust and persistence. Hiring managers at Jubilee will look for evidence that you can prospect, handle rejection, and still hit targets. Show them you understand the numbers behind policies and premiums.

    1. Quantify any sales or customer experience: Even if it's part-time or volunteer work, put numbers on it. For example, 'Increased sales by 20% in three months' or 'Managed a portfolio of 50 clients'. This shows you can deliver results.

    2. Learn the insurance basics: Before the interview, understand key terms like premium, policy, and claim. You don't need to be an expert, but showing you've done your homework sets you apart.

    3. Highlight your digital skills: Insurance sales increasingly use CRM tools and digital platforms. Mention any experience with Excel, Google Sheets, or customer management software.

    4. Prepare a 30-60-90 day plan: Outline how you'd approach learning products, prospecting, and hitting your first targets. This shows initiative and strategic thinking.

    5. Practice handling objections: In sales, you'll hear 'no' often. Prepare responses to common objections like 'insurance is too expensive' or 'I already have coverage'. Show you can turn a no into a maybe.

    6. Show you're a team player: Sales teams rely on collaboration. Give examples of when you supported teammates or shared leads. This shows you'll fit into their culture.

    7. Dress and speak professionally: First impressions matter in corporate sales. Dress smart, maintain eye contact, and speak clearly and confidently.

    8. Ask smart questions: At the end of the interview, ask about training, support, and what top performers do differently. This shows you're serious about the role.

CareerSasa Safety Alert: Never pay employers or agencies for interviews, training, or job placement. Does a job request payment? Report it immediately using the "Flag" button. While CareerSasa vets job postings thoroughly, always verify opportunities independently.
