Prove You Can Build and Drive a Sales Unit
This role is about more than hitting your own numbers—it's about building a team that hits theirs. Hiring managers will look for evidence you can recruit, train, and motivate financial advisors while keeping retention and persistency strong.
1. Show your numbers: On your CV, quantify your sales achievements: premiums generated, policies sold, team size, and retention rates. Use concrete figures to demonstrate your impact.
2. Highlight your recruitment experience: If you've hired or trained sales agents, detail that. Mention how you sourced candidates, onboarded them, and set them up for success.
3. Understand insurance specifics: Be ready to discuss persistency ratios, annualized premiums, and KPIs for financial advisors. Show you know the metrics that matter in insurance sales.
4. Prepare for stakeholder questions: Expect questions about how you'll develop relationships with corporate entities, check-off institutions, and camping sites. Have a plan for opening doors.
5. Show your leadership style: Describe how you motivate a team, set KPIs, and evaluate performance. Give examples of turning around underperformers.
6. Know the regulatory side: Mention your IRA registration and any insurance certifications. If you have COP, highlight it—it's a key requirement.
7. Be ready for a sales pitch: You might be asked to sell something on the spot. Practice a concise, persuasive pitch for Jubilee's products.
8. Ask smart questions: In the interview, ask about the branch's current sales performance, team size, and growth targets. It shows you're thinking strategically.
