    Job Description

Water2Wine Kenya is a growing premium fruit wine company based in Nairobi, producing distinctive wines made from fruits and ingredients such as strawberry, kiwi, blueberry, chocolate, raspberry, coconut, mango, peach, and other locally inspired flavors. We are building a new category of premium wine—one focused on bold flavor, memorable experiences, and a fresh approach to how consumers experience wine. As we expand our presence in Nairobi’s restaurants, bars, hotels, lounges, and hospitality venues, we are looking for energetic and commercially minded sales professionals who can help introduce Water2Wine Kenya to new customers and turn those relationships into long-term business.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify and prospect new restaurants, bars, hotels, lounges, retailers, and hospitality accounts.
    • Visit potential customers and introduce them to Water2Wine Kenya and our portfolio of premium fruit wines.
    • Build relationships with restaurant owners, beverage managers, F&B managers, purchasing managers, bartenders, and other key decision-makers.
    • Secure meetings, product presentations, and wine tastings with qualified prospective customers.
    • Work with the Water2Wine team to coordinate tastings and account-development opportunities.
    • Convert qualified prospects and tastings into purchase commitments and active accounts.
    • Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective and existing customers.
    • Develop a strong pipeline of sales opportunities across Nairobi.
    • Identify opportunities for Water2Wine wines to be featured on wine lists, cocktail menus, dessert menus, special events, and other hospitality programs.
    • Maintain accurate records of customer visits, contacts, follow-ups, opportunities, and sales activity using the company’s CRM and sales tracking systems.
    • Provide feedback from the market regarding customer preferences, objections, competitor activity, pricing, and emerging opportunities.
    • Represent Water2Wine Kenya professionally and communicate the brand story, product positioning, and value proposition effectively.

Winning Hospitality Accounts with a Story

This role is about opening doors and turning first tastings into repeat orders. Hiring managers will look for hustle, relationship skills, and the ability to sell a story—not just a product.

    1. Research your prospects: Before visiting a restaurant or bar, know their menu, vibe, and clientele. Tailor your pitch to how Water2Wine could fit their wine list or cocktail program.

    2. Practice your pitch: You'll be introducing a new brand, so be ready to explain what makes Water2Wine unique—locally inspired flavors, premium quality, and a fresh approach. Rehearse a 30-second elevator pitch.

    3. Show you can build relationships: Hospitality is about trust. Share examples of how you've built long-term relationships with clients or partners in the past.

    4. Be ready to handle objections: Expect pushback like 'we already have suppliers' or 'our customers won't try it.' Prepare responses that turn objections into opportunities.

    5. Highlight your CRM skills: The job requires tracking visits and follow-ups. Mention any experience with CRM tools and how you stay organized.

    6. Demonstrate persistence: Sales is about follow-up. Talk about a time you kept pursuing a lead until you closed the deal.

    7. Know the hospitality scene: Familiarize yourself with Nairobi's top restaurants, bars, and hotels. Show you understand the local market and its trends.

    8. Bring energy and professionalism: You'll represent the brand, so dress sharply, be punctual, and show genuine enthusiasm for the product and the industry.
