Show You Can Keep Policy Data Flawless

This role lives or dies on accuracy and follow-through. Hiring managers will look for proof you can handle high-volume data without dropping details, and that you understand the rhythm of insurance servicing.

    1. Quantify your accuracy: On your CV, give a concrete example of managing records or data with zero errors, like processing 200+ transactions monthly without a discrepancy. Numbers speak louder than 'detail-oriented'.

    2. Show your insurance grounding: If you have AIIK, ACII, or LOMA progress, list it prominently. Even if you're just starting, mention any coursework or exposure to life insurance products.

    3. Prove your Excel muscle: Expect to reconcile data and generate reports. Highlight your ability to use VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data validation—these are daily tools for this role.

    4. Prepare a servicing scenario: Be ready to walk through how you'd handle a member addition or a benefit amendment under a tight deadline. Think about steps you'd take to ensure accuracy and compliance.

    5. Talk about stakeholder coordination: This role works with underwriting, claims, and finance. Give an example of when you coordinated with different teams to resolve an issue—shows you can navigate internal processes.

    6. Know the regulatory basics: Brush up on AML, KYC, and Data Protection. You might be asked how you'd safeguard customer data—show you take compliance seriously.

    7. Show you can follow up: Servicing is about chasing outstanding actions. Share a story where you tracked pending items to closure, maybe using a tracker or follow-up system.

    8. Ask smart questions: When you get to the interview, ask about the administration systems they use and how the team measures service performance. It shows you're thinking about the role's real demands.
