Our client is seeking a Junior Office Manager to serve as a Culture Ambassador and oversee day-to-day office administration. The role focuses on creating a positive, efficient, and safe work environment while ensuring smooth office operations across the Nairobi and Mombasa offices.
Key Responsibilities
Organize and coordinate office operations and procedures
Coordinate with IT on office equipment and systems
Liaise with facility management vendors (cleaning, landlord, catering, security)
Support facilities coordinator with maintenance escalations
Ensure vendor accountability and service quality
Support in-house events, celebrations, and conferences
Identify and resolve office-related issues promptly
Promote a sustainable, pleasant, and efficient working environment
Plan and execute office equipment procurement, layouts, and standards
Maintain office organization and cleanliness with cleaning staff
Oversee all administrative office duties to ensure smooth operations
Support onboarding of new employees
Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed
Identify opportunities for process and office management improvements
Manage reception duties and office guests
Maintain strong relationships with employees and HR teams
Act as the first point of contact for onboarding and HR-related queries
Required Qualifications
2–3 years’ experience as an Office Manager or similar role
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Kiswahili
Creative mindset with the ability to suggest improvements
Proficiency in Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.)
Proactive, flexible, and positive work attitude
